The active, coenzyme form of B6. Easily destroyed by cooking and UV exposure, routinely leaving the body in large amounts within 8 hours and absent from foods in large amounts. Supports GABA production for amino acid metabolism in the central nervous system as well as DNA and RNA synthesis and healthy functioning. The brain also needs B6 PSP to convert tryptophan to serotonin.
